Each It's A Scream! show will play with different horror tropes, and the October theme is Paranormal! A group of daring high schoolers break into their local haunted house on Halloween night, not believing in its power. Ghosts, demons, goblins, ghouls - who knows what lurks in those antique walls? And, what's causing people to turn up dead? Watch the chaos unfold in this completely unscripted horror-themed show. If you've ever considered learning improvisation, Whatabout Theatre's Improv Level 1 class is the place to start! In this class, you'll gain familiarity with improv concepts, grow your skills, and build relationships with your classmates.After completing this eight (8) week class, you'll:
Understand stage directions and be able to position yourself on stage
Create and embody characters with a variety of physicalities and voices
Perform improvised scenes live on stage in front of an audience!

Corene Ford (she/her) has been improvising for just over a decade and loves both performing and teaching. She has taught at Pointless School of Improv, been a member of several house teams at Go! Comedy and Pointless Brewery & Theatre, and coached multiple launch groups. She serves as Secretary of the Whatabout Theatre Board of Directors and on the Board of Directors for the Detroit Improv Collective. Professionally, Corene is a shareholder at Tilchin & Hall, P.C. where she focuses on real estate and business law matters, a member of the Oakland Mediation Center's Board of Trustees, a member of the State Bar of Michigan's Character & Fitness Committee, and an adjunct professor at Oakland University.STUDENT HANDBOOK: Please read the Student Handbook as it contains all relevant policies for Whatabout Theatre Classes.
